Located in designated housing sites and subsidized through federal, state and local funds, Resident Services Coordination helps elderly individuals and adults with disabilities continue to live as independently and self-sufficiently as possible in their homes. A central component of WCAAA’s outreach is provided through our Resident Services Coordination program. Two related but distinct programs are part of Resident Services Coordination:
Resident Services Coordinators
Residence Services Coordinators (RSCs) are social service professionals who work with residents to assess needs, identify supportive services and resources, and assist them in obtaining the services and resources they choose.
In addition to WCAAA programs, RSCs are knowledgeable about local, state and federal assistance programs, homecare providers and community resources. They build strong working relationships with housing authorities and property managers and advocate on behalf of residents to foster a safe and supportive community environment.
Currently, Resident Services Coordinators serve these housing sites:
- Torringford West (Torrington)
- Chestnut Grove (Winsted)
- Greenwoods Garden (Winsted)
- Eldridge Senior Housing (Morris)
- George B. Lewis I & II (Naugatuck)
- Oak Terrace (Naugatuck)
- Robert E. Hutt (Naugatuck)
- Grace Meadows (Southbury)
- Nunnawauk Meadows (Newtown)
