Biography

Susan Wagner-White has been a resident of Heritage Village in Southbury for seven years, having moved there with her husband Ed to be closer to their daughters and grandchildren. Since settling in the community, she has taken on several leadership roles, including serving as coordinator for the COVID-19 vaccine clinic sponsored by Waterbury Hospital and founding a non-denominational Bereavement Sharing Group on campus.

She currently serves as a trustee representing 116 resident units and sits on multiple committees, including Facilities, Foundation, the Italian Renaissance Club, the Jewelry Club, and Public Relations for the Heritage Village Community Garden.

With a background in nursing, Susan has worked closely with families on organ donation and hospice care. Her philosophy centers on the belief that meaningful change requires active participation.

"My philosophy has always been that participation for changes that are important to you require participation. My intention on the board of WCAAA is to create such change."
