Melissa Sloss has been a dedicated member of the Advisory Council since 2021 and stepped into her current leadership role as Chair in 2026, serving as Advisory President. She is a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and holds a Case Management Certification, with a professional history rooted in coordinating patient care, facilitating interdisciplinary collaboration, and advocating for diverse patient populations to support effective healthcare outcomes. Melissa's deep connection to WCAAA's mission is backed by 29 years of dedicated service to older adults and individuals with disabilities. In her current work within the Adult Family Living program, she champions community-based supports that promote independence, dignity, and quality of life—directly mirroring the Area Agency on Aging's core mission to help individuals live safely and successfully within their own homes and communities.
