Full time position available for outreach to veterans and policy development work with the WCAAA and State of CT,  State Unit on Aging. This full time position will also work with western area communities in development of the No Wrong Door system as it applies to veterans’ benefits, provide person centered options counseling, assessment and ongoing case management for a small group of veterans as approved by the State Unit on Aging. A car and valid driver’s license are necessary as this position will require extensive travel within the State of CT. Although this position is grant based and durational, it is possible that the position will lead to other grant based opportunities. Bachelor’s degree with some demonstrated experience in directly working with veterans or social  work that involved veterans as clients.

Second position available to support the full time position above.  Duties will include administrative reports, data collection, outreach/marketing activities and some personalized program participant assessments/counseling. This position is also grant based and durational but successful job achievement may lead to other opportunities.  Bachelor’s degree with some demonstrated experience in community based outreach/marketing. Experience in working with veterans is added value.
