The Western CT Area Agency on Aging (WCAAA) is seeking to fill the full time position of Executive Director. The WCAAA is one of five CT non profit Area Agencies on Aging and has been designated as an Access Agency to provide care management services for a variety of direct service waivers operating in CT. The Executive Director is responsible to the Board of Directors for overall management of the Agency serving 41 towns of northwest CT including staff supervision of 70+ staff, budget preparation, planning, supervision of Board approved awards, advocacy, contract implementation, maintenance of working relationships with funding sources, neighborhood groups and providers and ensuring adherence to federal, state and local requirements. A Master’s degree in public administration, business administration or human services and demonstrated management work experience is preferred but candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in any of those disciplines with a minimum of 10 years of high level supervision/management in a mid – large non profit agency including responsibility for finance will be considered. Car and driver’s license required. Salary commensurate with experience.
